DynoPlex Attachment Support Software: Installing and Registering

Please note that support for all DynoPlex applications will end with the release of NotifyLink Device Client v4.7 and NotifyLink Enterprise Server v4.7.

 

DynoPlexTM Applications  Attachment support applications must be installed on your BlackBerry device in order to download and view attachments that are sent to the device in the DynoPlexฎ format.  DynoPlex applications are optional and can be downloaded to your device along with the NotifyLink application.  The following applications for viewing and editing attachments are available:

The DynoPlex Applications includes:

•      eOffice – Application manager; provides quick-launch icons for DynoPlex apps and recently opened files

•      eFile – File manager; allows quick access to DynoPlex apps and browsing of files stored locally

•      eWord – MS Word document viewer/editor (requires purchased license to be used as an editor)

•      eCell – MS Excel document viewer/editor (requires purchased license to be used as an editor)

•      ePad – Text file editor

•      Word Viewer – MS Word document viewer

•      Excel Viewer – MS Excel document viewer

•      PDF Viewer – Adobe PDF document viewer

•      PPT Viewer – MS PowerPoint document viewer

•      Image File Viewer – Image file (.bmp .jpg .gif .png) viewer

 

Device Requirements for DynoPlex

NotifyLink supports DynoPlex rendered attachments on devices with a minimum of 16MB of memory. 

 

For OTA Installation:

1.  Using the Notify BlackBerry Installer located on the BlackBerry Device’s desktop,   select Check for Updates.

2.  Place a check in the box beside the DynoPlex application and click Continue or select Perform Updates from the menu to begin downloading.

3.  When the download is complete, reset the device.

 

For Wired Installation:

1.  Open the BlackBerry Desktop Software and run the application loader.

2.  From the list of applications to install, select the DynoPlex application.

3.  Press the Next button and confirm that the summary screen states that it will install DynoPlex on your device.

 

DynoPlex Licensing for eWord and eCell

The use of eWord and eCell as editors requires that you purchase licensed seats through Notify Technology Corporation.  The versions of this software purchased through Notify are configured to operate with the NotifyLink product and can be registered through the NotifyLink Client Web.  Contact your Notify sales representative for further information.

 

Registering DynoPlex Applications

Use of eWord and eCell as editors require that you purchase licensed seats through Notify Technology Corporation.  The versions of this software purchased through Notify are configured to operate with the NotifyLink product.  Contact your Notify sales representative to obtain a licensed seat.

Once you have obtained the licenses for eWord and eCell you must register the products through the NotifyLink Client Web Console.  Viewer applications do not require registration.

1.  From the Client Web Console, select General > Device.

2.  Press the Register with eWord and Register with eCell buttons to register the DynoPlex applications.

NOTE:  If your user account is already registered with the DynoPlex applications on the server, registration keys will display.  Resend the registration information to the device by pressing the Synchronize Device button.

NOTE:  The Register with ViewAll button is not functional.  Please do not use this option. 

3.  Once the applications are registered on the server, a registration message pushes out to the device.
