Commands give you flexibility in managing your email account from the device. There are two types of commands available: Commands used to temporarily suspend email retrieval and commands used to remove a block from an email address.
A typical use of the suspension commands might be to postpone email retrieval during a meeting, vacation period, or leave of absence. Use the Catchup command, before you restart notification, to retrieve email stored during the suspension.
The Unblock command will remove a block that you have placed on a specific email address.
1. Select
the Commands button at the bottom of the message list screen.
2. Select a command:
|
Command |
Description |
|
Notify Off |
Disables NotifyLink message notification. Stops retrieval of email from the server. |
|
Catchup |
Retrieves email stored in the server database during suspension. (Best practice is to use the Catchup command before turning Notify ON again.) If you do NOT wish to retrieve stored email (due to the quantity or time relevance of the emails), use the Notify On command without catching up. |
|
Notify On |
Enables NotifyLink message notification. Restarts retrieval of email from the server. |
|
Unblock |
Removes the block from a specific address. Choose the Unblock command and enter the email address to unblock. |
NOTE: Block any further email from an address by opening an email and using the Block command from the View Message screen menu. See Viewing an Open Message for more information.
