Requirements:
The following Palm software is required to perform a wired installation of NotifyLink for Palm.
• You must have the Palm HotSync® software installed on your computer workstation prior to installing the NotifyLink software.
• You must have the Palm HotSync® profile set up to use with the Palm device.
• You must have a network connection on your device to finish the installation.
NOTE: DO NOT use Palm HotSync® for synchronizing Email and PIM. Once installed, the NotifyLink application handles all Email and PIM synchronization.
Considerations:
• Backup your device before beginning. If your device contains information such as Contacts, Calendar events, Tasks, or messages that you do not wish to lose, backup your device before you begin the installation process.
Wired Download Instructions
1. Cradle/cable your device.
2. Open a browser on the your computer workstation and browse to http://notifylink.notify.net/ota.asp
3. Choose Palm OS Based Devices and click Open on the File Download dialog box. The file to be installed, “nlinstall.prc,” is displayed. Click OK.
4. Press the HotSync button on your device.
5. Proceed to the installation instructions.
