Device and Network Usage
• NotifyLink will make use of the following features of your device:
-Reading/writing of PIM
(calendar, contact, task) data
-Reading of device information (phone number,
network type, etc.)
-Network access (standard and other network charges may
apply)
• NotifyLink utilizes your network connection to send/retrieve data. Standard and other networking charges may apply. Please check with your network administrator and/or carrier.
Direct Push on Symbian Devices
Direct Push synchronization is supported on Nokia Series 60 3rd Edition devices. Users, however, may experience random issues based on the firmware version resident on the device. If problems persist, you may wish to switch to Scheduled Push synchronization or contact Notify Technology technical support to verify the nature of the issue.
Low Memory Conditions
When your Symbian device reaches low memory levels, NotifyLink will exhibit the following behavior:
• At < 15 MB free, you will receive a notification every 6 hours warning you that memory is low.
• At < 5 MB free, NotifyLink will stop sending and receiving and will give an error message when you try to do a Get/Send.
You can monitor your memory using the device’s File Browser. To check the remaining free space, launch the File Browser and select the View Memory Info menu item.
Use the NotifyLink Cleanup Settings to help keep your memory free of excess Email and PIM.
Symbian User Interface
• All PIM functions, Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks, use the Symbian user interface, but process the data through the NotifyLink application.
• The Symbian user interface varies by device model.
o The NotifyLink application may be located under either the Installations or Apps icon.
o The Calendar which gives you access to calendar events and tasks might be located under the Office or Organizer icon. Contacts might be found in either the Address Book or Contacts list.
