Requirements:
• Symbian OS 9.1 or later.
Considerations:
• Installation. NotifyLink must be installed to the C: drive of the device. It cannot be installed to any other drive
• Time Requirements. The application download takes several minutes to complete. The amount of time that the download takes depends on a variety of factors including carrier, network type, network coverage, device type and the number of optional applications that are installed. Download times of up to 10 minutes were observed during testing.
• Wireless Coverage. Ensure that you remain in an area of good data coverage while you are downloading the application. This helps to prevent network errors, which would require you to restart the download process.
• Backup your device before beginning. If your device contains information such as Contacts, Calendar events, Tasks, or messages that you do not wish to lose, backup your device before you begin the installation process.
Over-The-Air Download Instructions
1. From a web browser on the device, browse to the NotifyLink Over-The-Air Client Installation page, http://notifylink.notify.net/ota.asp
2. Click on Symbian Series 60 Devices. When prompted, save the file, “NotifyLink.s60.3rd.SIS” to your device.
Note: If your device’s language option is set to a language other than the five supported by the NotifyLink software, a dialog appears asking if you wish to change the setting to English (US), French, German, Italian, or Spanish. If you retain a setting other than these five, the NotifyLink user interface remains in English.
3. Once the download is complete, the installer will guide you through the rest of the installation.
4. You are now ready to register your device. See Registering Your Device.
