Requirements:
The following software is required to perform a wired installation of NotifyLink for Symbian S60, 3:
• You must have Nokia PC Suite installed on your computer workstation prior to installing the NotifyLink software. Nokia download site
• You must have a network connection on your device to finish the installation.
NOTE: DO NOT use the PC Suite application for synchronizing Email and PIM. Once installed, the NotifyLink application handles all Email and PIM synchronization.
Considerations:
• Installation. NotifyLink must be installed to the C: drive of the device. It cannot be installed to any other drive
• Backup your device before beginning. If your device contains information such as Contacts, Calendar events, Tasks, or messages that you do not wish to lose, backup your device before you begin the installation process.
Wired Download Instructions
1. Cradle/cable your device.
2. Open a browser on the your computer workstation and browse to http://notifylink.notify.net/ota.asp
3. Choose Symbian Series 60 Devices and click Open on the File Download dialog box. The file to be installed, “NotifyLink.s60.3rd.SIS,” is displayed. Click OK.
Note: If your device’s language option is set to a language other than the five supported by the NotifyLink software, a dialog appears asking if you wish to change the setting to English (US), French, German, Italian, or Spanish. If you retain a setting other than these five, the NotifyLink user interface remains in English.
4. Use the PC Suite application installer to download the software to the device.
5. You are now ready to register your device. See Registering Your Device.
