Windows Mobile Professional or Standard Devices?

How to tell if your device is Windows Mobile Professional or Windows Mobile Standard

Windows Mobile Professional devices have a touch screen and come with a stylus. In addition, the Windows logo appears at the top left of the Home screen.   When you see WMP in this document’s instructions, it indicates that the step is required for Windows Mobile Professional users only.

Windows Mobile Standard devices do not have a touch screen or stylus and the Windows logo appears at the bottom left of the Home screen. Windows Mobile Standard devices can have either QWERTY keyboards or 12-key keypads.

Methods of accessing information vary between the two types of devices in part because of the Windows Mobile Professional devices’ touch screen capabilities.  If needed, instruction on other methods of accessing programs is available through device manufacturer documentation.
