You must complete this step from the NotifyLink Client Web
Before you register your device you may wish to set your authentication password to something other than the default. It is not necessary, but some administrators may direct you to change the password as an additional security measure. You will do this from your desktop computer before you register the device.
1. From the NotifyLink Client Web choose General > Security.
2. Under Authentication Settings you can generate a random password or type in the new password. It must be 8 characters long and can only contain the characters: A-Z, a-z, 0-9 and # * ( ) - + / : ' " @ ? ! , .
3. Click Apply Changes.
Changing the Authentication Password After Registration. If you change the Authentication Password after registering your device, you will need to make the change on your device as well. The password must match on the server and your device. See Authentication Settings for instructions on changing the Authentication Password on your device.
