Folders

 

Folder Selection gives you the ability to select which email folders you want NotifyLink to monitor.  The folders you select become part of a list that NotifyLink uses each time it checks your mailbox for mail.  Any mail found in the selected folders is sent to your device Inbox unless Folder Mirroring has been enabled. 

Folder Mirroring   If enabled, Folder Mirroring gives you the ability to mirror on the device, the folders you have selected to be monitored.  Instead of mail from the selected folders going into the device Inbox, it is distributed to folders on the device that mirror your collaboration suite mailbox folders. 

You can enable or disable Folder Mirroring from the Client Web by selecting General > Control > Messaging Options.

If you have a large number of folders, but you only want mail synchronized from your Inbox, you may want to select “Inbox Only.”  This speeds up the process of checking the mailbox since NotifyLink will not have to browse through a list of folders.

 

 Location:  Select the Mailbox Properties tab, then click on the Folders button.

 

 

1.  Select Mailbox Properties > Folders

2.  Choose a Folder Display Option by marking the appropriate radio button.

 

Show INBOX only	Choose this option if you want to display and select only the Inbox.  If you choose to monitor only the Inbox, mail from your collaboration suite Inbox syncs to the device Inbox.
Show top level folders	Choose this option if you want to display only top-level folders (no subfolders).
Show ALL folders	Choose this option if you want to display all available folders for selection.

 

3.  In the Available Folders section, check the box beside each folder you want NotifyLink to monitor.
Read the following notes about selecting folders:

•      When Folder Mirroring is OFF, you can select any folder or subfolder for synchronization.  Mail from selected folders will sync to the device Inbox.

•      When Folder Mirroring is ON, you can select any folder or subfolder for synchronization.  Selected folders and mail from the selected folders will synchronize to folders mirrored on the device.

•      If Folder Mirroring is ON, you must select parent folders in order to make subfolders available for selection.  You may select up to 100 folders.

•      If you select the Sent Items or Deleted Items folder, enable Folder Mirroring in Control Options.  Otherwise, sent and deleted items will all sync to the device Inbox.

 

4.  Click the Check Mail Server for Folder Updates button.  The folder monitoring list will be updated after the next successful Mailbox check.
Update Folders initiates the processing of the full folder list, which includes detecting new folders and deleting folders that have been removed.  The update will occur during the next Mailbox check.  To view the updated list, you must exit the Folders screen and re-enter after the next mailbox check.  User the "Time Mailbox Last Checked" field in Statistics to check this.

5.  To save your choices, click Apply Changes.
