If your new device is a different type than what you were previously using (for example, you have switched from a BlackBerry to an iPhone), your account must be removed from the NotifyLink server and added again with the new device provisioning information. You can then register your new device against the NotifyLink server.
Your NotifyLink On Demand administrator may need to implement one or both of these steps . . .
• From the NotifyLink On Demand provisioning page, go to Remove User to remove your user account.
• Then, go to Add Users and reenter your user information with the new device information. This will insure that your device is registered under the license key appropriate for your new device type.
Remove account data, mail and PIM items from the old device . . .
To remove account data and mail from the old device,
1. Select Preferences from the NotifyLink menu on your device.
2. Select Account Settings and then from the popup menu select Delete Account.
To remove PIM items from the old device,
Each device type is
different. Refer to the Migrating to a Different Device
Model section.
Step 2 in each of the instructions gives guidelines
for removing PIM items.
Once your old account has been removed and you have been provisioned for a new device . . .
Download and install the
NotifyLink device software onto your new device and register it.
OR
If the new device is an ActiveSync device, configure the device with an
Exchange account and register it.
