To prepare for the software installation process we suggest you complete the following steps:
• Review the Pre-installation Checklist for the NotifyLink Enterprise Server edition specific to your mail server platform. The list provides you with information on software prerequisites, server configurations, and port requirements.
• Provide your Notify sales representative with the public IP or DNS address of the server that will house the NotifyLink Enterprise Web component. Sales will contact you when the firewall connection is open. At this point you should test the SQL connection required for the server. This connection will be used to access a company directory for use on the multi-tenant system.
Verify that your firewall is configured to allow the connection and then test the connection by opening a command prompt from the web server and issue the following telnet command:
telnet hosted.notifylink.com 1433
This should yield a blank screen if the connection is successful.
• Review the NotifyLink Installation Guide and contact your sales representative to schedule an appointment for the installation of the server software.
